Lately, I was involved to help someone to remove his/her bankruptcy status. The chronology of the case is where the individual have paid their debt, but still have not remove the bankruptcy status from MDI. And here will provide the steps to do it by your own.
Basically, if you have the budget to settle the case, you can asked for lawyer to help which might incurred a high cost which around RM5000 or more depend on cases. (which made you left hustle)
However, if you wish to settle by your own, i hope this article might be helpful for those in need. Gentle reminder, you will need to go several times to High Court in order to solve the problem.
1. First of all, you need to go to any High Court in Malaysia whichever the state you are staying.
2. Go to the bankruptcy department. As example, for those that stay at Selangor, you can go to High Court Shah Alam, go to left building (sayap kiri) level 3, bankruptcy department. There will be arrow sign to show the locations.
3. At the bankruptcy department, the personnel will asked you to make an appointment to visit. (not advise to come without appointment. To fill in the document, refer link below (for High Court Shah Alam only)
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe3IrTLoPfYi6UZe05A2jEcE040TE66QFsTe1MQrS842OD68w/viewform
4. At the same time, the personnel will provide the hardcopy sample document to fill in. (there will be instructions/ steps stated in hardcopy). If you required softcopy, need to go to library to get the softcopy.
Sample as below, there will be around 6 pages: need to customise based on your court no, resit no, and personal information.
5. Fill in the document according to the hardcopy format and attached with the payment receipt by MDI, initial court letter. (If you need it to settle by fast, you need to attach another document called "perakuan segera" in order to fasten the process from a few months to a few weeks, around RM80)
6. Next, during your appointment date, you need to come with the hardcopy document with attached document (court letter, and receipt). The bankruptcy personnel will check on the document whether if there is any error. If there is error, amendment required. (either come another day or find a place for changes, therefore make sure there are no error!)
7. If there is no amendment required or error, go to another building to commissioner for oaths (pensuruhjaya sumpah) and make payment at the same time. (make sure bring debit card as only debit card allowed for payment at the payment counter. If not, need to go to cash deposit machine in order for payment).
8. After payment, the e filling counter will required you to fill in the email address and you need to wait a few day to check document below with extraction code provided by the e filling department.

9. After all this, wait and attend court case to uplift the case based on judge judgement.
I hope this might be helpful for those that want to know the progress to settle the bankruptcy cases. I am not the lawyer, just an ordinary person to share some information.
